I checked out Google image search before I ask this but are cleats just an American term for sporting boots with tags/sprigs/blades on the bottom eg football (soccer) boots? There seemed to be some weird shoes that I think were baseball shoes but lots of football boots as well. Cleats always makes me think of Cleatus for some reason, too
