main reason for me is there is no shortcode for Jaiku yet. Also I like to use Jaiku for more profound thoughts, and twitter for "I am making macaroni and cheese". As well My rss from me (blog,tumblr,ect) and my interests are fed to Jaiku so it is still being updated. .......even my twitter feed.........(don't kill me)
